Bruce Upbin is an Assistant Managing Editor at Forbes magazine, responsible for its regular technology and health coverage as well as special sections on innovation and creativity. Mr. Upbin joined Forbes magazine as a Reporter in April 1995. He briefly served as Deputy Chief of the reporting staff before moving to Chicago as Midwest Bureau Manager in 1997. In 2000, he returned to New York as a Senior Editor, managing the teams covering technology and health care. Since early 2005, he has launched three new sections for Forbes, Innovation, Mavericks and Logistics. In 2006, Mr. Upbin became one of the youngest Forbes editors to be named Assistant Managing Editor. He has written a dozen cover stories and regularly provides business commentary on CNN, NPR, CNBC, the BBC, Forbes on Radio and the Fox News Channel. From April 1992 to April 1995, Mr. Upbin worked as a speechwriter and freelance journalist for The New York Times, New York, Wired, Worth and Mutual Funds.
