Kirk O. Hanson (Executive Director, Markkula Center for Applied Ethics)

December 12, 2007

Kirk O. Hanson

Unlike some academics, hands-on Hanson applies his thought leadership by leading the Markkula Center for Applied Ethics. His current research focuses on the design of corporate ethics programs and the responsibilities of boards for an organization’s ethical culture. Between advising corporations, releasing a 4-volume book series, The Accountable Corporation, and helping to launch the first center in China for the study of business ethics, it’s been a busy year for Hanson, who topped it off with a lifetime achievement award from the prestigious Aspen Institute’s program on Business and Society.
