For our first topic of the day, FirstEnergy’s Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Antonio Fernández, will lead a discussion around Building a Program in a Dynamic Environment.

In this conversation, participants will be able to listen, share, and discuss best practices around developing and implementing new Ethics & Compliance program structures that align with their values, comply with regulations, and set a foundation for their companies to thrive.

After that, the compliance team at Goodyear will lead a conversation on Enhancing the Maturity of Internal Investigations: A well-designed investigation process drives better investigation results and helps protect your company, but getting there is not always easy.  We will discuss investigations triage and escalation, procedural guidelines, remediation and follow-up.  We will also discuss important post-investigation initiatives including retaliation prevention, reporting investigation findings and metrics, and communication of lessons learned.  Participants will be invited to talk about best practices, challenges, and methods of improving an internal investigation program.
