Scott McCleskey Joins Ethisphere Leadership Team

Leader in compliance and ethics will help advance Ethisphere’s mission and lead the development of new services.

Scottsdale, AZ – April 10, 2014 – Ethisphere is pleased to announce that Scott McCleskey, an experienced senior leader in the fields of compliance and ethics, has joined the company as Senior Advisor. Scott will serve as a key member of the company’s senior leadership team and lead the development of a number of new services.

Scott comes to Ethisphere with thirty years of experience in industry, the military and law enforcement. He most recently served as a member of the Senior Leadership Team of the Financial & Risk business of Thomson Reuters, where he led the global teams responsible for reporting and analyzing developments in financial regulation. Prior roles include global Chief Compliance Officer of a major financial institution and Director of Regulatory Policy for a European stock exchange.

Scott is a published author and recognized thought leader, having spoken before such bodies as Congress, the European Commission and the London School of Economics. His publications include two books and an editorial column carried on Reuters which won a national award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Cambridge as well as a B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary, where he serves on the Board of Advisors of the Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy.

At last month’s sixth annual Global Ethics Summit in New York, McCleskey moderated a panel entitled “View from the Government” featuring speakers from the FTC, SEC and U.S. District Court Southern District of NY discussing how companies should interact with regulators and participated in a panel discussing “Measuring Information That Drives Ethical Leadership”.  He was recently quoted in the International Business Times regarding financial fraud at a large Mexican bank.
