Ethisphere Welcomes Erica Salmon Byrne and Aarti Maharaj to Leadership Positions

Focus Increases on Ethics and Governance Services, the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance, and Digital Content.

NEW YORK, NY– January 20, 2016 – Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, announced two key staff additions today. Erica Salmon Byrne joins Ethisphere as Executive Vice President, Compliance & Governance Services with oversight of Ethisphere’s data services and strategy. Aarti Maharaj joins as Executive Editor and Director of Digital Content. Ms. Salmon Byrne will also serve as Executive Director of the Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA), a membership community of companies who share leading best practices across a global network.

Previously, Ms. Salmon Byrne was a member of the NYSE Governance Services Executive team. She led data and analytics strategy and oversaw the Advisory Services team. Her depth of experience includes evaluating the programs of large multi-national companies across industries; consulting on best practices in the development, monitoring, and measurement of the programs; and assessing key risk areas and specific needs. She interviewed C-level executives as host of the on-demand web video series, Inside Compliance, and shared the host chair of another on-demand web series from NYSE Governance Services, This Week in the Boardroom.

Most recently, Aarti served as the Digital Content Editor at Compliance Week where she covered compliance, risk, and corporate governance news both in Europe and around the world. She was the Editor of Compliance Week’s Global Glimpses blog and a Moderator at the magazine’s annual conference in Washington D.C. and Europe. Prior to this move, Aarti was a Senior Writer at AECOM Technology Corporation where she was the communications lead for the Company’s Global Ethics and compliance program. Aarti was also the Deputy Editor of Corporate Secretary Magazine. She holds a Master’s Degree in Communication and Journalism from Fordham University and is also an Adjunct Professor in Pace University’s Communication Studies Department.
