Ethisphere Releases Listing of 2015’s 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics from Around the World

The annual ranking recognizes individuals who have helped progress corporate integrity and made a material impact in the fields of ethics, governance, compliance and more

NEW YORK, NY– January 7, 2016 – Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, announced today its annual 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics ranking. The honor recognizes not only those who have devoted their careers to furthering better business behavior but also those who understand the impact companies have on improving the world and have made efforts to increase the quality of life for humankind.

From awards for human rights and social issues to helping employees find better work-life balance by focusing on family first and hopes for addressing climate change through sustainability efforts, the 2015 honorees stand out among a trifled media year that saw the continuation of the FIFA case, VW emissions scandal and the Yates (#1 on our list) Memo to name a few.

“In reviewing nominations this year, we were struck by the truly awesome endeavors the business community undertook to advance ethics and culture within their organizations and, more importantly, abroad,” said Ethisphere’s Editor-in-Chief, Nicole Thomas. “In our tenth year, we continue to work toward improving corporate integrity globally and know that this is a common goal among those on this list. It offers us some hope and encouragement for an improved business community and a better world going forward.”

This year’s list includes:

  • Sally Quillian Yates, Deputy Attorney General, U.S. Government (#1)
  • Anne Simpson, Investment Director, Global Governance, CalPERS (#2)
  • Pope Francis (#3)
  • William Dudley, President & CEO Federal Reserve Bank of New York (#6)
  • José Ugaz, Chair, Transparency International (#7)
  • Paul Tudor Jones II, Founder, Just Capital (#19)
  • Benjamin Heineman Jr., Distinguished Senior Fellow, Harvard Law School (#37)

The full rankings were released in the Q4 2015 issue of Ethisphere Magazine and are available online at the 100 Most Influential page.
