I don’t know where the time has gone, but I’m coming up on my 14th Annual Global Ethics Summit, Ethisphere’s annual gathering of ethics and compliance leaders. For a few days each spring, some of the best people in the field come together, and honestly, it’s my favorite time of the year.

Our 18th Summit runs from March 30 to April 1, 2027 in Atlanta and virtually. Every year, I watch people who met here years ago pick up where they left off, right on Day One. And I see people who came to the event by themselves join conversations they never expected to have.

The agenda changes every Summit, and the venue has moved more than once, but the reason people come hasn’t. This is the one place where ethics and compliance leaders don’t feel like they’re doing their job alone.

What Happens in the Room

We design the programming and the community expo hall so the days you spend away from your desk are worth it. You’re there to get a clear picture of where your program stands, and the people most able to give you that perspective are the ones running their own programs under similar pressures and with the same priorities. All the time, I see someone in a breakout session brings up a problem they’ve been circling for three months, and two people at the table have already worked through it and share what worked for them.

The Global Ethics Summit’s format is built for that. We cap in-person attendance so the breakouts and roundtables are small enough for everyone to get a seat and a chance to talk.

What I hear most afterward is that people left with ideas they couldn’t wait to bring back to their teams. That’s something I never get tired of hearing.

Why the Relationships Outlast the Three Days

The relationships people make at the Summit don’t stay in Atlanta. Attendees check in with each other through the year and compare notes when new guidance comes out. A few months later, they’re sitting at the same Business Ethics Leadership Alliance (BELA) roundtables. The Summit is where you meet them, but the rest of the year is where you’ll deepen those connections.

My favorite thing about the Summit is the mix of people. Some have been coming for years (and who already know where everyone sits). Others are first-timers who spend Day Two taking it all in and wondering what took them so long to attend. There’s no “in crowd,” though. Someone at their first Summit gets the same welcome as someone at their tenth. When we say there’s no competition in compliance, we mean it. You see it at the Summit in how freely people share what they’ve learned, even with someone they met an hour before.

Who Attends the Global Ethics Summit

The people in the room run ethics, compliance, and governance programs at some of the world’s leading organizations. You’ll meet chief ethics and compliance officers and general counsel from the Fortune 1000 and beyond, alongside regulators, board advisors, and the legal, risk, audit, and human resources leaders who work with them every day. If you own a compliance program at your organization, you belong here.

Most attendees are director-level or above, so the conversation focuses on the decisions that senior leaders are facing right now. How do you respond when enforcement priorities shift? How do you measure ethical culture? How do you make the case for your program to the C-suite and the board?

We cap the in-person Summit at 600 seats to keep the event small enough for real conversations between sessions, and big enough that you’ll meet peers from industries and regions you usually don’t hear from. Rooms in the discounted block at the Omni have sold out in past years, so book early if you’re coming in person. If your team can’t travel, a virtual pass lets more of your colleagues take part in the program.

Global Ethics Summit sponsorship

The BELA community turns to Ethisphere when they’re looking for their next vendor, so we’re careful about who we put in front of them. Sponsors are selected, not just signed. We look for organizations in the ethics and compliance space that our members already trust, and we keep the sponsor floor small enough that the conversations there are worth having.

If that sounds like your organization, contact us to learn about sponsorship.
