Thompson, executive vice president, government affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary for PepsiCo, and Randal S. Milch, executive vice president, public policy and general counsel for Verizon, will speak at the opening keynote for the 6th Annual Global Ethics Summit, taking place March 20-21 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square in New York. With PepsiCo since 2004, Mr. Thompson assumed the role of executive vice president, government affairs, general counsel and corporate secretary in 2012, responsible for not just the worldwide legal aspects of the business, but the global compliance function and PepsiCo’s philanthropic arm, the PepsiCo Foundation. Mr. Thompson is a former senior fellow of the Brookings Institution, a prior deputy attorney general at the U.S. Department of Justice and past appointee by President George W. Bush to lead the Corporate Fraud Task Force.
Mr. Milch has over 20 years of experience in handling legal and compliance matters for the telecommunications industry. He has served as executive vice president, public policy and general counsel of Verizon since 2008, and leads the company’s public policy, legal, regulatory, government affairs and security groups. He joined Verizon following the merger with Bell Atlantic where he served as assistant general counsel. After the completed merger with Bell Atlantic, Mr. Milch assumed the role of senior vice president and general counsel of Verizon Business, responsible for all legal services and external affairs support for the company’s global enterprise carrier.
