Ethisphere Recognizes JLL with Compliance Leader Verification™

Ethisphere’s Compliance Leader Verification recognizes organizations with an outstanding commitment to achieving a best-in-class ethics and compliance program

Scottsdale, AZ – December 19, 2023 – Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, announced today that JLL earned the coveted Compliance Leader Verification for 2023 and 2024.

JLL is a leading global commercial real estate and investment management company that helps clients buy, build, occupy, manage and invest in a variety of commercial, industrial, hotel, residential and retail properties. A Fortune 500® company with operations in over 80 countries around the world, JLL’s more than 105,000 employees bring the power of a global platform combined with local expertise. This year marked the 16th consecutive year JLL was recognized as one the World’s Most Ethical Companies®.

“Ethisphere is proud to announce that JLL has again demonstrated its continued commitment to a culture of business integrity. Its work with employee communications, training, its ethics ambassadors, and transparency around how its ethics and compliance program operates are well-tailored examples of how a business should showcase its ethical culture,”

Neal Thurston, Director, Data and Services.

As one of JLL’s three core values, ethics are at the heart of our culture, underpinning every facet of our business,” said Claire Handley, Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at JLL.  “Our Ethics Everywhere program ensures we hold ourselves accountable to our shared values and work towards our common purpose with integrity. This award shows our employees, clients, supply partners, investors, and the communities we work that our commitment to ethical behavior is at the center of everything we do.”

The Compliance Leader Verification process involves a rigorous review of an ethics and compliance program and corporate culture. It includes completing the Ethics Quotient® (EQ), a questionnaire covering the elements of an effective program; benchmarking program practices against the World’s Most Ethical Companies®; and extensive document review and interviews with executives and stakeholders.

JLL’s performance was evaluated on six key areas: program resources and structure; perceptions of ethical culture; written standards; training and communication; risk assessment, monitoring and auditing; and enforcement, discipline, and incentives.
